Toronto Falls 3-2 to Sabres - Recap

The Maple Leafs came up short Saturday against the Sabres, falling 3-2 in a shootout.

The Sabres were a +129 underdog in the win. The combined score dipped UNDER the total, which closed at 5.5.

The win was clinched by Tyler Ennis, who beat Jean-Sebastien Giguere in a shootout to gain the extra point in the standings for Buffalo. Buffalo got goals from Jochen Hecht and Derek Roy in the victory. Roy opened the scoring at 18:46 of the second period.

Jhonas Enroth stopped 23 of 25 Toronto shots in the victory.

Toronto got goals from Mikhail Grabovski and Nikolai Kulemin in the loss, but it wasn't enough.

Jean-Sebastien Giguere stopped 29 of 31 shots for the Maple Leafs, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.

On the power play, Buffalo went 0-for-3, while the Maple Leafs were 0-for-2 with the man advantage.

Toronto lost the shots on goal battle to Buffalo by a margin of 31-25.

Buffalo heads into a battle against the Devils. Toronto, meanwhile, will have their next action against Tampa Bay.
