Flames vs Avalanche Final: 4-2 - Recap

Curtis Glencross scored a pair of goals against the Avalanche as Calgary handed Colorado a 4-2 defeat on Tuesday at Pepsi Center.

Calgary was an underdog by -101 and came through for bettors backing them. The game went OVER the consensus closing total of 5.5.

Calgary got goals from Curtis Glencross (2), David Moss, and Mikael Backlund in the victory. Glencross opened the scoring at 0:36 of the second period.

Miikka Kiprusoff turned in a 29-save effort for the Flames.

Colorado got goals from Chris Stewart and Brandon Yip in the loss, but it wasn't enough.

Peter Budaj stopped 21 of 24 shots for the Avalanche, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.

On the power play, Calgary went 1-for-4, while the Avalanche were 2-for-7 with the man advantage.

Calgary lost the shots on goal battle to Colorado by a margin of 31-25.

Calgary looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Coyotes. The Avalanche will aim to get back on the winning track at Columbus.
