Philadelphia got goals from Mike Richards (2), Claude Giroux (2), and Scott Hartnell in the victory. Richards opened the scoring at 12:14 of the first period.
Sergei Bobrovsky turned in a 34-save effort for the Flyers.
Cory Stillman and Mike Santorelli scored for the Panthers, finding the net behind Sergei Bobrovsky.
Scott Clemmensen stopped 37 of 42 shots for the Panthers, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.
On the power play, Philadelphia went 2-for-4, while the Panthers were 0-for-2 with the man advantage.
Florida lost the shots on goal battle to Philadelphia by a margin of 42-36.
Philadelphia looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Senators. The Panthers will aim to get back on the winning track at Atlanta.
