Predators vs Hurricanes Final: 2-1 - Recap

Nashville earned a 2-1 victory over Carolina on Saturday, but needed a shootout to do it at RBC Center.

Nashville won as a +102 underdog, while Over-Under bettors who played UNDER the total of 5.5 were rewarded at the payout window.

Martin Erat clinched the win with a shootout goal in round 3 for the Predators. Nashville got goals from Jerred Smithson in the victory. Smithson opened the scoring at 3:53 of the second period.

Pekka Rinne stopped 21 of 22 Carolina shots in the victory.

Joni Pitkanen scored for the Hurricanes, finding the net behind Pekka Rinne.

Cam Ward stopped 26 of 27 shots for the Hurricanes, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.

On the power play, Nashville went 0-for-3, while the Hurricanes were 0-for-3 with the man advantage.

Nashville outshot Carolina 27-22 in the game.

Next game, Nashville takes its act on the road to face Columbus looking for another win. For Carolina, they head home to face Washington.
