Colorado Skates Past Dallas 4-3 - Recap

Colorado earned a 4-3 victory over Dallas on Saturday, but needed a shootout to do it at American Airlines Center.

Bettors who backed the Avalanche were rewarded as +145 underdogs at sportsbooks. Over-Under bettors saw the total score go OVER the closing total of 5.5.

The win was clinched by Kevin Porter, who beat Kari Lehtonen in a shootout to gain the extra point in the standings for Colorado. Colorado got goals from Milan Hejduk (2) and David Jones in the victory. Hejduk opened the scoring at 4:05 of the first period.

Peter Budaj stopped 26 of 29 Dallas shots in the victory.

Dallas got goals from Brenden Morrow, James Neal, and Adam Burish in the loss, but it wasn't enough.

Kari Lehtonen stopped 23 of 26 shots for the Stars, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.

On the power play, Colorado went 2-for-4, while the Stars were 1-for-5 with the man advantage.

Dallas outshot Colorado 29-26 in the game.

Next game, Colorado takes its act on the road to face Vancouver looking for another win. For Dallas, they head on the road to face Toronto.
