Philadelphia Falls 3-2 to Flames - Recap

Calgary earned a 3-2 victory over Philadelphia on Friday, but needed a shootout to do it at Wells Fargo Center.

The Flames were a +175 underdog in the win. The combined score dipped UNDER the total, which closed at 5.5.

Rene Bourque potted the shootout winner for Calgary. Calgary got goals from Steve Staios and Curtis Glencross in the victory. Glencross opened the scoring at 13:17 of the second period.

Miikka Kiprusoff stopped 34 of 36 Philadelphia shots in the victory.

Nikolay Zherdev and James van Riemsdyk scored for the Flyers, finding the net behind Miikka Kiprusoff.

Sergei Bobrovsky stopped 28 of 30 shots for the Flyers, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.

On the power play, Calgary went 0-for-3, while the Flyers were 0-for-6 with the man advantage.

Philadelphia outshot Calgary 36-30 in the game.

Calgary looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Penguins. The Flyers will aim to get back on the winning track at New Jersey.
