Greg Mauldin scored a pair of goals against the Wild as Colorado handed Minnesota a 7-4 defeat on Saturday at Pepsi Center.

Colorado won as a -145 favorite, while Over-Under bettors who played OVER the total of 5.5 were rewarded at the payout window.

Greg Mauldin (2), Milan Hejduk, Paul Stastny, David Jones, Kevin Shattenkirk, and Matt Duchene each scored for the Avalanche in the victory. Stastny opened the scoring for Colorado, finding the back of the net at 1:01 of the first period. The goal was assisted by Kevin Shattenkirk and Milan Hejduk.

Peter Budaj turned in a 28-save effort for the Avalanche.

Minnesota got goals from Kyle Brodziak (2), Matt Cullen, and Antti Miettinen in the loss, but it wasn't enough.

Minnesota got a 31-stop effort from Niklas Backstrom in the loss.

Minnesota lost the shots on goal battle to Colorado by a margin of 40-32.

Colorado looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Thrashers. The Wild will aim to get back on the winning track at Calgary.
