Edmonton Falls 3-2 to Ducks - Recap

The Oilers came up short Tuesday against the Ducks, falling 3-2 in a shootout.

The Ducks were a +100 underdog in the win. The combined score dipped UNDER the total, which closed at 5.5.

Cam Fowler potted the shootout winner for Anaheim. Anaheim got goals from Teemu Selanne and Saku Koivu in the victory. Koivu opened the scoring at 5:44 of the second period.

Jonas Hiller turned in a 34-save effort for the Ducks.

Dustin Penner and Ryan Jones scored for the Oilers, finding the net behind Jonas Hiller.

Nikolai Khabibulin stopped 30 of 32 shots for the Oilers, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.

On the power play, Anaheim went 0-for-3, while the Oilers were 1-for-3 with the man advantage.

Edmonton outshot Anaheim 36-32 in the game.

Anaheim looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Canucks. The Oilers will aim to get back on the winning track vs Tampa Bay.
