Ottawa Ices Nashville 2-1 - Recap

The Senators earned a 2-1 victory over the Predators on Thursday at Bridgestone Arena.

The Senators were a +125 underdog in the win. The combined score dipped UNDER the total, which closed at 5.

Alex Kovalev and Nick Foligno each scored for the Senators in the victory. Kovalev opened the scoring for Ottawa, finding the back of the net at 9:35 of the first period. The goal was assisted by Peter Regin.

Brian Elliott turned in a 25-save effort for the Senators.

Nashville got a goal from Marcel Goc in the loss, but it wasn't enough.

Pekka Rinne stopped 28 of 30 shots for the Predators, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.

On the power play, Ottawa went 1-for-5, while the Predators were 0-for-4 with the man advantage.

Nashville lost the shots on goal battle to Ottawa by a margin of 30-26.

Next game, Ottawa takes its act home to face Pittsburgh looking for another win. For Nashville, they head on the road to face St. Louis.
