Atlanta vs Pittsburgh Recap - Penguins Win 6-3

Sidney Crosby scored a pair of goals against the Thrashers as Pittsburgh handed Atlanta a 6-3 defeat on Tuesday at Consol Energy Centre.

Pittsburgh won as a -175 favorite, while Over-Under bettors who played OVER the total of 5.5 were rewarded at the payout window.

Pittsburgh got goals from Sidney Crosby (2), Matt Cooke, Craig Adams, Chris Kunitz, and Mark Letestu in the victory. Crosby opened the scoring at 10:34 of the first period.

Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 31 of 34 Atlanta shots in the victory.

Eric Boulton, Dustin Byfuglien, and Evander Kane scored for the Thrashers, finding the net behind Marc-Andre Fleury.

Ondrej Pavelec stopped 30 of 36 shots for the Thrashers, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.

On the power play, Pittsburgh went 1-for-3, while the Thrashers were 1-for-8 with the man advantage.

Atlanta lost the shots on goal battle to Pittsburgh by a margin of 36-34.

Next game, Pittsburgh takes its act on the road to face New York looking for another win. For Atlanta, they head home to face Boston.
