Buffalo earned a 7-6 victory over Boston on Saturday, but needed a shootout to do it at HSBC Arena.

Boston got a 16-stop effort from Tim Thomas in the loss.

On the power play, Buffalo went 1-for-4, while the Bruins were 0-for-2 with the man advantage.

Buffalo lost the shots on goal battle to Boston by a margin of 40-35.

Buffalo looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Avalanche. The Bruins will aim to get back on the winning track at Toronto.
