Miikka Kiprusoff stopped 23 of 27 shots for the Flames, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.

On the power play, Detroit went 1-for-6, while the Flames were 1-for-5 with the man advantage.

Detroit lost the shots on goal battle to Calgary by a margin of 39-27.
