Yellow Jackets win defensive battle

Tashard Choice scored the only points of the game in the second quarter as No.19 Georgia Tech blanked the North Carolina Tar Heels 7-0 at Kenan Stadium on Saturday.

The Yellow Jackets did not cover the 13.5-point spread on the road, and the seven points scored were UNDER the posted total of 47.

Reggie Ball was 10-for-24 for 78 yards and a pick, and Choice led the way with 119 yards on 32 carries for the Yellow Jackets.

Joe Dailey went 13-for-34 for 156 yards and two interceptions, and Ronnie McGill had 20 carries for 73 yards for the Tar Heels.
