Calgary got goals from Jarome Iginla, Niklas Hagman, Jay Bouwmeester, Curtis Glencross, and Rene Bourque in the loss, but it wasn't enough.
Henrik Karlsson stopped 21 of 22 shots for the Flames, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.
On the power play, Carolina went 0-for-5, while the Flames were 0-for-2 with the man advantage.
Carolina lost the shots on goal battle to Calgary by a margin of 32-30.
Carolina looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Sabres. The Flames will aim to get back on the winning track at Ottawa.
