Cardinals soar over Scarlet Knights
Quarterback Brian Brohm threw three touchdown passes and ran for another on Friday, and the No. 23 Louisville Cardinals blew out the Rutgers Scarlet Knights 56-5.
The Cardinals came into this game as a 22.5-point favorite at home and had no trouble covering the spread in this one. The game’s combined 61 points fell UNDER the posted 67 points.
Brohm finished the game completing 22-of-30 passes for 312 yards, with no interceptions. Kolby Smith rushed for two touchdowns, while George Stripling and Kurt Quarterman had a TD each on the ground in the victory. Joshua Tinch caught 10 passes for 183 yards and a touchdown.
Mike Teel completed 12-of-24 passes for only 87 yards and was picked off twice in the loss.
