Louisville win costs as Brohm injured
No.12 Louisville got their first-ever win against No.17 Miami (FL) 31-7 at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium on Saturday, but starting quarterback Brian Brohm was lost in the third quarter due to a thumb injury.
Louisville did more than enough to cover the 4-point spread at home, but the 38 points scored was UNDER the posted total of 52.5.
Brohm was 10-for-14 for 181 yards and a score before his injury, and he will miss three to six weeks. Mario Urrutia caught four passes for 96 yards and a major for the Cardinals.
Kyle Wright went 20-for-34 for 278 yards, and Tyrone Moss carried the ball seven times for 20 yards and a touchdown for the Hurricanes.
