Toronto vs Buffalo Recap - Sabres Win 6-2

The battle between the Sabres and Maple Leafs didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Toronto was handed a 6-2 defeat on Saturday at HSBC Arena.

Buffalo was favored by -135 and came through for bettors backing them. The game went OVER the consensus closing total of 5.5.

Drew Stafford (2), Tim Connolly, Jason Pominville, Paul Gaustad, and Thomas Vanek each scored for the Sabres in the victory. Pominville opened the scoring for Buffalo, finding the back of the net at 3:31 of the first period. The goal was assisted by Thomas Vanek.

Ryan Miller turned in a 23-save effort for the Sabres.

Francois Beauchemin and Nikolai Kulemin scored for the Maple Leafs, finding the net behind Ryan Miller.

Toronto got a 25-stop effort from James Reimer in the loss.

On the power play, Buffalo went 2-for-4, while the Maple Leafs were 0-for-3 with the man advantage.

Toronto lost the shots on goal battle to Buffalo by a margin of 43-25.

Buffalo looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Lightning. The Maple Leafs will aim to get back on the winning track vs Atlanta.
