Edelman lifts Kent State past Temple

Julian Edelman passed for 213 yards and a score, while running for 78 yards and another touchdown, as Kent State defeated winless Temple 28-17 at Lincoln Financial Field on Saturday.

The Golden Flashes did not cover the 24-point spread on the road, and the 45 points scored was just UNDER the posted total of 46.

Edelman was 14-for-26 and also threw an interception, while Jon Drager had 17 rushes for 81 yards and two touchdowns for the Golden Flashes.

Adam DiMichele also went 14-for-26 for 145 yards and one touchdown, and Tim Brown rushed for 75 yards on 12 carries and a major for the Owls.
