Temple earned a 13-10 victory over Central Michigan on Thursday in Week 2 action at Lincoln Financial Field.
Temple did not, however, defeat the Chippewas against the spread, which closed at 7.5 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 47.5.
Chester Stewart completed 16 of 22 pass attempts for 151 yards for the Owls in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.
Paris Cotton rushed for 40 yards for Central Michigan, while Cody Wilson added 25 yards. Ryan Radcliff threw for 299 yards for the Chippewas, while receivers Cody Wilson and Cedric Fraser had 153 and 49 yards respectively.
Central Michigan led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 31:40/28:20 split in that important category.
Temple looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Connecticut. Central Michigan will aim to get back on the winning track at Eastern Michigan.
