Penn State won 14-10 on Saturday against Temple behind a 112-yard receiving performance from Derek Moye at Lincoln Financial Field.
The Nittany Lions won the battle on the scoreboard, but not at the payout window as they failed to cover the 7-point spread. UNDER bettors were rewarded when the final score pointed to an UNDER play.
Matt McGloin completed 13 of 19 pass attempts for 124 yards for the Nittany Lions in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.
Bernard Pierce rushed for 50 yards for Temple, while Chester Stewart added 16 yards. Mike Gerardi threw for 95 yards for the Owls, while receivers Joe Jones and Deon Miller had 48 and 45 yards respectively.
Penn State outgained Temple 308-197 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 18-13 by the Nittany Lions.
Temple lost the time of possession battle 30:41/28:22, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
Next game, Penn State takes its act home to face Eastern Michigan looking for another win. For Temple, they head on the road to face Maryland.
