Temple Defeats Army 42-14 - Recap
Bernard Pierce scampered through the Army defense for 157 yards as Temple handed the Black Knights a 42-14 defeat on Saturday at Lincoln Financial Field.
The Owls were a 10.5-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score went OVER the total, which closed at 47.5.
Chris Coyer completed 4 of 5 pass attempts for 79 yards for the Owls in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.
Raymond Maples rushed for 93 yards for Army, while Malcolm Brown added 61 yards. Max Jenkins threw for 21 yards for the Black Knights, while receivers Jared Hassin and Davyd Brooks had 21 and 7 yards respectively.
Temple lost the time of possession battle 34:36/25:24, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
Next game, Temple takes its act home to face Kent State looking for another win. For Army, they head home to face Navy.
