Bearcats vs Owls Final: 34-10 - Recap
The battle between the Bearcats and Owls didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Temple was handed a 34-10 defeat on Saturday at Lincoln Financial Field.
Cincinnati won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the 8-point spread as favorites. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 55.5.
Brendon Kay completed 13 of 21 pass attempts for 244 yards for the Bearcats in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.
Matt Brown rushed for 35 yards for Temple, while Chris Coyer added 34 yards. Clinton Granger threw for 86 yards for the Owls, while receivers Romond Deloatch and John Christopher had 42 and 33 yards respectively.
Temple was outgained by Cincinnati 472-267 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 18-15 by the Bearcats.
Cincinnati lost the time of possession battle 30:25/29:35, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
Cincinnati heads into a Week 12 battle against Rutgers. Temple, meanwhile, will have their next action against Army.
