Florida earned a 3-2 victory over Tampa Bay on Saturday, but needed a shootout to do it at St. Pete Times Forum.

Mike Santorelli potted the shootout winner for Florida. David Booth and Mike Santorelli each scored for the Panthers in the victory. Booth opened the scoring for Florida, finding the back of the net at 0:24 of the second period. The goal was assisted by Dennis Wideman and Stephen Weiss.

Scott Clemmensen stopped 34 of 36 Tampa Bay shots in the victory.

Sean Bergenheim and Marc-Andre Bergeron scored for the Lightning, finding the net behind Scott Clemmensen.

Dan Ellis stopped 24 of 26 shots for the Lightning, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.

On the power play, Florida went 2-for-3, while the Lightning were 0-for-6 with the man advantage.

Florida lost the shots on goal battle to Tampa Bay by a margin of 36-26.

Florida looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Islanders. The Lightning will aim to get back on the winning track vs Phoenix.
