Hawkeyes top favored Boilermakers
Drew Tate threw three touchdown passes and Kyle Schlicher kicked four-field goals to lead the Iowa Hawkeyes to 34-17 win over the Purdue Boilermakers on Saturday.
The Hawkeyes won this game as 5-point underdogs on the road. The game’s combined score fell UNDER the posted total (54.5).
Tate completed 19-of-33 passes for 356 yards. Clinton Solomon caught five passes for 166 yards and pair of touchdowns and Ryan Majerus caught one TD pass in the win. Albert Young ran for 164 yards on 36 carries for the Hawkeyes.
Brandon Kirsch passed for 354 yards and threw a touchdown pass to Dorien Bryant, who had 10 catches for 142 yards for the Boilermakers. Kory Sheets ran for 77 yards and a TD in the loss.
