Wildcats claw out a win against Boilermakers
Tyrell Sutton found the end zone on a 1-yard run with under two minutes to play in the game to give the Northwestern Wildcats a 34-29 win over the Purdue Boilermakers on Saturday.
The Wildcats won this game as 9.5-point underdogs on the road. The game’s combined 63 points fell UNDER the posted total (68).
Brett Basanez threw for 465 yards and three touchdowns and added another score on the ground for the Wildcats. Brandon Roberson, Eric Peterman and Frayne Abernathy all had a touchdown catch in the win.
Brandon Jones rushed for two touchdowns and Jerod Void ran in for one in the loss and Dorien Bryant returned a kickoff for a 95-yard TD for the Boilermakers.
