Boilermakers down RedHawks in overtime shootout
Kory Sheets ran for an 11-yard touchdown in overtime to power the Purdue Boilermakers past the Miami (OH) RedHawks 38-31 at Ross-Ade Stadium on Saturday.
Purdue did not manage to cover the 19-point spread at home, but the 69 points scored were OVER the posted total of 53.5.
Curtis Painter was 17-for-31 for 212 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions. Sheets had 41 yards on 14 carries, and four touchdowns on the day for the Boilermakers.
Mike Kokal went 23-for-37 for 299 yards, with three touchdowns and two picks. Ryne Robinson caught eight balls for 160 yards and two scores for the RedHawks.
