Boilermakers take sloppy game
Purdue had five of a combined nine turnovers, but still put 444 yards in a 28-19 victory over the Indiana Hoosiers at Ross-Ade Stadium on Saturday.
The Boilermakers did not cover the 12.5-point spread at home, and the 47 points scored were UNDER the posted total of 60.
Curtis Painter was 18-for-32 for 261 yards, one touchdown, and four interceptions on the day. Greg Orton had six catches for 112 yards and a major for the Boilermakers.
Kellen Lewis had a productive day, going 26-for-42 for 291 yards and a touchdown, while also running for 103 yards and a score. James Hardy caught nine passes for 151 yards and a major for the Hoosiers.
