The Flames were a -174 favorite in the win. The combined score went OVER the total, which closed at 5.5.
Calgary got goals from Jarome Iginla, Olli Jokinen, Curtis Glencross, and Rene Bourque in the victory. Jokinen opened the scoring at 8:13 of the first period.
Miikka Kiprusoff stopped 37 of 40 Columbus shots in the victory.
Craig Rivet, Antoine Vermette, and Jan Hejda scored for the Blue Jackets, finding the net behind Miikka Kiprusoff.
Steve Mason stopped 24 of 28 shots for the Blue Jackets, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.
On the power play, Calgary went 2-for-7, while the Blue Jackets were 0-for-3 with the man advantage.
Columbus outshot Calgary 40-28 in the game.
Next game, Calgary takes its act home to face Nashville looking for another win. For Columbus, they head on the road to face St. Louis.
