Recap - Coyotes Defeat Calgary 3-0

Phoenix's defense, led by netminder Ilya Bryzgalov, shut down Calgary 3-0 at Jobing.com Arena on on Thursday.

The Coyotes were a -130 favorite in the win. The combined score dipped UNDER the total, which closed at 5.5.

Shane Doan, Eric Belanger, and Brett MacLean each scored for the Coyotes in the victory. MacLean opened the scoring for Phoenix, finding the back of the net at 1:51 of the second period. The goal was assisted by Mikkel Boedker and Kyle Turris.

Ilya Bryzgalov turned in a 38-save effort for the Coyotes.

Henrik Karlsson stopped 29 of 31 shots for the Flames, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.

On the power play, Phoenix went 0-for-2, while the Flames were 0-for-3 with the man advantage.

Phoenix lost the shots on goal battle to Calgary by a margin of 38-32.

Phoenix looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Ducks. The Flames will aim to get back on the winning track vs Vancouver.
