New York Ices Florida 4-3 - Recap

New York needed a shootout to earn a 4-3 victory over Florida on Saturday in NHL action at BankAtlantic Center.

New York won as a +120 underdog, while Over-Under bettors who played OVER the total of 5.5 were rewarded at the payout window.

P.A. Parenteau clinched the win with a shootout goal in round 2 for the Islanders. New York got goals from P.A. Parenteau, Michael Grabner, and Micheal Haley in the victory. Grabner opened the scoring at 5:14 of the second period.

Rick DiPietro turned in a 29-save effort for the Islanders.

Evgeny Dadonov (2) and Stephen Weiss scored for the Panthers, finding the net behind Rick DiPietro.

Scott Clemmensen stopped 18 of 21 shots for the Panthers, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.

On the power play, New York went 0-for-3, while the Panthers were 0-for-2 with the man advantage.

New York lost the shots on goal battle to Florida by a margin of 32-21.

New York looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Lightning. The Panthers will aim to get back on the winning track at New York.
