New York Falls 4-1 to Flyers - Recap

Philadelphia got 3 goals from James van Riemsdyk en route to a 4-1 victory over New York on Saturday at Nassau Coliseum.

The Flyers were a -148 favorite in the win. The combined score dipped UNDER the total, which closed at 5.5.

James van Riemsdyk (3) and Jeff Carter each scored for the Flyers in the victory. Carter opened the scoring for Philadelphia, finding the back of the net at 8:11 of the first period. The goal was assisted by Claude Giroux.

New York got a goal from Blake Comeau in the loss, but it wasn't enough.

Rick DiPietro stopped 18 of 22 shots for the Islanders, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.

Philadelphia lost the shots on goal battle to New York by a margin of 37-22.

Next game, Philadelphia takes its act home to face Boston looking for another win. For New York, they head on the road to face New Jersey.
