Sharks Fall 6-2 Against Anaheim - Game Recap

The battle between the Ducks and Sharks didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as San Jose was handed a 6-2 defeat on Wednesday at Honda Center.

Bettors who backed the Ducks were rewarded as -110 favorites at sportsbooks. Over-Under bettors saw the total score go OVER the closing total of 5.5.

Corey Perry (3), Teemu Selanne, Jason Blake, and Cam Fowler each scored for the Ducks in the victory. Perry opened the scoring for Anaheim, finding the back of the net at 12:58 of the first period. The goal was assisted by Bobby Ryan and Ryan Getzlaf.

Ray Emery turned in a 22-save effort for the Ducks.

Dan Boyle and Ben Eager scored for the Sharks, finding the net behind Ray Emery.

Antero Niittymaki stopped 28 of 34 shots for the Sharks, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.

On the power play, Anaheim went 4-for-6, while the Sharks were 0-for-4 with the man advantage.

Anaheim lost the shots on goal battle to San Jose by a margin of 38-34.

Anaheim looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Kings. The Sharks will aim to get back on the winning track at Phoenix.
