Lightning vs Bruins Final: 5-4 - Recap

Martin St. Louis scored a pair of goals against the Bruins as Tampa Bay handed Boston a 5-4 defeat on Wednesday at St. Pete Times Forum.

Tampa Bay won as a -125 favorite, while Over-Under bettors who played OVER the total of 5.5 were rewarded at the payout window.

Martin St. Louis (2), Teddy Purcell (2), and Steven Stamkos each scored for the Lightning in the victory. Purcell opened the scoring for Tampa Bay, finding the back of the net at 0:36 of the first period. The goal was assisted by Vincent Lecavalier.

Dwayne Roloson turned in a 16-save effort for the Lightning.

David Krejci (3) and Milan Lucic scored for the Bruins, finding the net behind Dwayne Roloson.

Tim Thomas stopped 21 of 26 shots for the Bruins, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.

On the power play, Tampa Bay went 3-for-4, while the Bruins were 1-for-5 with the man advantage.

Boston lost the shots on goal battle to Tampa Bay by a margin of 26-20.
