The battle between the Canadiens and Jets didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Winnipeg was handed a 5-1 defeat on Sunday at MTS Centre.

Montreal won as a +100 underdog, while Over-Under bettors who played OVER the total of 5.5 were rewarded at the payout window.

Michael Cammalleri, Tomas Plekanec, Travis Moen, Max Pacioretty, and Yannick Weber each scored for the Canadiens in the victory. Cammalleri opened the scoring for Montreal, finding the back of the net at 3:05 of the first period. The goal was unassisted.

Carey Price turned in a 30-save effort for the Canadiens.

Nik Antropov scored for the Jets, finding the net behind Carey Price.

Ondrej Pavelec stopped 17 of 22 shots for the Jets, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.
