The Kings came up short Thursday against the Devils, falling 2-1 in a shootout.

Simon Gagne scored for the Kings, finding the net behind Johan Hedberg.

Los Angeles got a 36-stop effort from Jonathan Quick in the loss.

Los Angeles lost the shots on goal battle to New Jersey by a margin of 37-27.

New Jersey looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Predators. The Kings will aim to get back on the winning track at Philadelphia.
