It came down to a shootout and Niklas Backstrom foiled the opposition in a 2-1 victory for Minnesota over Edmonton Thursday.

Minnesota looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Canucks. The Oilers will aim to get back on the winning track vs New York.
