Pittsburgh earned a 3-2 victory over New York on Thursday, but needed a shootout to do it at Consol Energy Centre.

On the power play, Pittsburgh went 1-for-6, while the Islanders were 0-for-2 with the man advantage.

Pittsburgh outshot New York 32-19 in the game.

Next game, Pittsburgh takes its act on the road to face Toronto looking for another win. For New York, they head home to face San Jose.
