Blues Fall 4-2 Against Edmonton - Game Recap

Edmonton got a pair of goals from Ryan Smyth as the Oilers skated to a 4-2 victory over St. Louis on Sunday at Rexall Place.

The Oilers were a +105 underdog in the win. The combined score went OVER the total, which closed at 5.

Ryan Smyth (2), Shawn Horcoff, and Jordan Eberle each scored for the Oilers in the victory. Horcoff opened the scoring for Edmonton, finding the back of the net at 5:38 of the first period. The goal was assisted by Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Corey Potter.

Nikolai Khabibulin stopped 28 of 30 St. Louis shots in the victory.

David Backes and Chris Stewart scored for the Blues, finding the net behind Nikolai Khabibulin.

St. Louis got a 26-stop effort from Jaroslav Halak in the loss.

On the power play, Edmonton went 2-for-4, while the Blues were 1-for-3 with the man advantage.

Next game, Edmonton takes its act on the road to face Los Angeles looking for another win. For St. Louis, they head home to face Vancouver.
