Canucks Fall 5-1 Against Minnesota - Game Recap

The battle between the Wild and Canucks didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Vancouver was handed a 5-1 defeat on Thursday at Xcel Energy Center.

The Wild were a +135 underdog in the win. The combined score went OVER the total, which closed at 5.

Matt Cullen (2), Pierre-Marc Bouchard, Guillaume Latendresse, and Marco Scandella each scored for the Wild in the victory. Latendresse opened the scoring for Minnesota, finding the back of the net at 4:47 of the second period. The goal was assisted by Marek Zidlicky.

Josh Harding turned in a 24-save effort for the Wild.

Dan Hamhuis scored for the Canucks, finding the net behind Josh Harding.

Cory Schneider stopped 40 of 45 shots for the Canucks, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.
