Oilers Fall 4-2 Against Phoenix - Game Recap

The Oilers came up short Saturday against the Coyotes, falling 4-2.

The Coyotes were a -128 favorite in the win. The combined score went OVER the total, which closed at 5.

Ray Whitney, Adrian Aucoin, Daymond Langkow, and Boyd Gordon each scored for the Coyotes in the victory. Langkow opened the scoring for Phoenix, finding the back of the net at 4:44 of the second period. The goal was assisted by Keith Yandle and Mike Smith.

Mike Smith turned in a 24-save effort for the Coyotes.

Theo Peckham and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins scored for the Oilers, finding the net behind Mike Smith.

Devan Dubnyk stopped 26 of 29 shots for the Oilers, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.

On the power play, Phoenix went 1-for-2, while the Oilers were 0-for-2 with the man advantage.

Phoenix outshot Edmonton 30-26 in the game.

Phoenix looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Canadiens. The Oilers will aim to get back on the winning track at Montreal.
