Jamie Benn scored a pair of goals against the Hurricanes as Dallas handed Carolina a 5-2 defeat on Sunday at RBC Center.

Dallas got goals from Jamie Benn (2), Stephane Robidas, Eric Nystrom, and Michael Ryder in the victory. Nystrom opened the scoring at 5:20 of the first period.

Kari Lehtonen turned in a 30-save effort for the Stars.

Tuomo Ruutu and Chad LaRose scored for the Hurricanes, finding the net behind Kari Lehtonen.

Cam Ward stopped 10 of 14 shots for the Hurricanes, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.
