Ottawa Skates Past Toronto 5-2 - Recap

Nick Foligno scored a pair of goals against the Maple Leafs as Ottawa handed Toronto a 5-2 defeat on Saturday at Air Canada Centre.

Ottawa won as a +127 underdog, while Over-Under bettors who played OVER the total of 5.5 were rewarded at the payout window.

Nick Foligno (2), Sergei Gonchar, Milan Michalek, and Zack Smith each scored for the Senators in the victory. Gonchar opened the scoring for Ottawa, finding the back of the net at 9:11 of the second period. The goal was assisted by Kaspars Daugavins and Zack Smith.

Craig Anderson stopped 31 of 33 Toronto shots in the victory.

Joffrey Lupul and Tyler Bozak scored for the Maple Leafs, finding the net behind Craig Anderson.

Toronto got a 19-stop effort from Ben Scrivens in the loss.

On the power play, Ottawa went 1-for-3, while the Maple Leafs were 0-for-5 with the man advantage.

Ottawa lost the shots on goal battle to Toronto by a margin of 33-24.

Ottawa looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Flames. The Maple Leafs will aim to get back on the winning track vs Phoenix.
