Nikolai Khabibulin stopped 29 of 34 shots for the Oilers, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.
On the power play, Chicago went 1-for-4, while the Oilers were 1-for-3 with the man advantage.
Edmonton lost the shots on goal battle to Chicago by a margin of 35-23.
Chicago heads into a battle against the Canucks. Edmonton, meanwhile, will have their next action against Ottawa.
