The battle between the Blackhawks and Canucks didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Vancouver was handed a 5-1 defeat on Wednesday at Rogers Arena.

The Blackhawks were a +116 underdog in the win. The combined score went OVER the total, which closed at 5.5.

Andrew Brunette, Steve Montador, Patrick Sharp, Jonathan Toews, and Patrick Kane each scored for the Blackhawks in the victory. Brunette opened the scoring for Chicago, finding the back of the net at 5:12 of the second period. The goal was assisted by Marcus Kruger and Steve Montador.

Corey Crawford turned in a 28-save effort for the Blackhawks.

Jannik Hansen scored for the Canucks, finding the net behind Corey Crawford.

Cory Schneider stopped 22 of 27 shots for the Canucks, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.

On the power play, Chicago went 2-for-3, while the Canucks were 0-for-0 with the man advantage.

Vancouver outshot Chicago 29-27 in the game.

Chicago looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Flames. The Canucks will aim to get back on the winning track vs Ottawa.
