No.5 Arkansas were considered an outside shot for the national title game, but that is now gone after a 31-26 loss to No.9 LSU at War Memorial Stadium on Friday.
The Tigers covered the 2.5-point spread on the road, and the 57 points scored were OVER the posted total of 44.
JaMarcus Russell was 14-for-22 for 216 yards and two touchdowns, while Trindon Holliday scored the game-winning points on a 92-yard kickoff return for the Tigers.
Casey Dick was a miserable 3-for-17 for 29 yards, one score, and one pick. Darren McFadden had a huge day by running the ball 21 times for 182 yards and two majors, as the Razorbacks gained 297 yards on the ground.
