Bruins edge out Huskies
The No. 20 UCLA Bruins had a tough time Saturday night, but they still managed to pull out a 21-17 win over the Washington Huskies.
The Bruins, however, failed to cover the big 24.5-point spread in this contest. The combined score fell UNDER the game’s posted total (59).
Bruins QB Drew Olson went 29-of-44 for 287 yards in the win, tossing TD strikes to Marcedes Lewis and Michael Pitre and getting intercepted twice. Maurice Drew ran for UCLA’s other major.
For the Huskies, Isaiah Stanback was good on 14-of-28 pass attempts for 188 yards. Stanback and Kenny James ran for Washington scores in the loss.
