Detroit earned a 4-1 victory over Pittsburgh behind a 2-goal performance from Danny Cleary on Tuesday at Consol Energy Centre.

Detroit got goals from Danny Cleary (2), Pavel Datsyuk, and Johan Franzen in the victory. Datsyuk opened the scoring at 16:01 of the second period.

Evgeni Malkin scored for the Penguins, finding the net behind Jimmy Howard.

Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 21 of 24 shots for the Penguins, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.

Detroit lost the shots on goal battle to Pittsburgh by a margin of 26-25.

Detroit heads into a battle against the Predators. Pittsburgh, meanwhile, will have their next action against Ottawa.
