James Wisniewski potted the shootout winner for Columbus. Columbus got goals from Jeff Carter in the victory. Carter opened the scoring at 10:32 of the first period.

Roberto Luongo stopped 29 of 30 shots for the Canucks, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.
