Senators Fall 5-2 Against Boston - Game Recap

Tim Thomas stopped 47 of 49 shots fired at him by Ottawa, as the Bruins skated to a 5-2 victory Wednesday at Scotiabank Place.

The Bruins were a -167 favorite in the win. The combined score went OVER the total, which closed at 5.5.

Daniel Paille (2), Chris Kelly, Patrice Bergeron, and Rich Peverley each scored for the Bruins in the victory. Peverley opened the scoring for Boston, finding the back of the net at 12:10 of the first period. The goal was assisted by Andrew Ference and Joe Corvo.

Tim Thomas turned in a 47-save effort for the Bruins.

Daniel Alfredsson and Jason Spezza scored for the Senators, finding the net behind Tim Thomas.

Craig Anderson stopped 24 of 29 shots for the Senators, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.

On the power play, Boston went 0-for-0, while the Senators were 0-for-5 with the man advantage.

Boston lost the shots on goal battle to Ottawa by a margin of 49-29.

Next game, Boston takes its act on the road to face Philadelphia looking for another win. For Ottawa, they head home to face Pittsburgh.
