Senators vs Penguins Final: 6-4 - Recap

Jason Spezza was the difference, potting a pair for Ottawa on Friday as the Senators skated off with a 6-4 victory over the Penguins at Scotiabank Place.

The Senators were a +120 underdog in the win. The combined score went OVER the total, which closed at 5.5.

Ottawa got goals from Jason Spezza (2), Daniel Alfredsson, Zenon Konopka, Jared Cowen, and Colin Greening in the victory. Greening opened the scoring at 0:25 of the second period.

Alex Auld turned in a 32-save effort for the Senators.

Steve Sullivan, Chris Kunitz, Evgeni Malkin, and Matt Niskanen scored for the Penguins, finding the net behind Alex Auld.

Brent Johnson stopped 14 of 19 shots for the Penguins, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.

On the power play, Ottawa went 1-for-5, while the Penguins were 2-for-4 with the man advantage.

Pittsburgh outshot Ottawa 36-24 in the game.

Ottawa looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Sabres. The Penguins will aim to get back on the winning track vs Buffalo.
